The iMac G4 that I have was released in 2002 as the 15” (15 Inch) model. Apple also released a 17” and a 20” model. These macs were known for having loose monitors due to the washers wearing out in the neck. I actually ended up messing up the neck of my G4 but letting curiosity get the best of me. I took it apart to see what was inside and turns out there is a spring and washers inside. It also turns out that it takes blood and tears to put it back together. I ended up getting it back together but the washers were misplaced so now I have to deal with a loose neck :(.
